Jiangyan district's "Taizhou Day" series of events was held at Nanjing Tech University on June 4-5, strengthening regional collaboration through site visits, industry-academia partnerships, and talent recruitment.
At the National Third-Generation Semiconductor Technology Innovation Center in Nanjing, Jiangyan's business delegation explored cutting-edge advancements in silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN). The mass production of 6-inch SiC MOSFET wafers and their applications in new energy vehicles sparked lively discussions, inspiring new cross-industry ideas.
At Purple Mountain Laboratories, world-leading technologies like 6G communications and millimeter-wave phased arrays provided a roadmap for Jiangyan's electronic information industry.
The industry-academia summit was held at Nanjing Tech University on June 5. The event deepened ties in education, research, and industry, addressing technical needs from 23 Jiangyan enterprises. Eight companies, including Sino Semic and Asia Electronics Technology, reached preliminary cooperation agreements with experts. Agreements for four projects—spanning smart rail transit and quantum encryption—were signed to join the Taizhou (Nanjing) Regional Offshore Innovation Center. The "Jiangyan Cup" Entrepreneurship Competition's electronic information track showcased projects involving artificial intelligence (AI) and internet of things (IoT), with seven winners recognized, two securing technical partnerships, and five slated for incubator residency.
At the China Energy Engineering Group Jiangsu Power Design Institute, the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone and Louzhuang town presented demands for the green energy park and corrugated pipe industries. In-depth talks on energy planning and technical collaboration led to the outlining of a blueprint for institute-region synergy.
Jiangyan also held recruitment fairs at Nanjing University and Southeast University, where firms like Asia Electronics Technology and Sino Semic attracted top talent through job fairs.
