The China Small and Medium-Sized Cities Development Index research team, along with the Guoxin Small and Medium-Sized Cities Index Research Institute, released the 2025 rankings for high-quality development across Chinese cities and districts on Sept 21. Jiangyan district stood out by earning spots on five of the Top 100 Districts lists, showing significant progress in various development aspects.
Jiangyan ranked 72nd nationwide for overall comprehensive strength, up three spots from last year. It also held the 72nd position in green development and 82nd in new-type urbanization quality. Notably, the district improved six places to 71st in investment potential and achieved 70th in science and technology innovation.
These results underscore Jiangyan's steady progress in driving sustainable growth, boosting innovation, and improving urban development.
