A trade delegation from Uzbekistan visited Jiangyan district on Oct 13 for an exchange and business matchmaking event, holding in-depth discussions with key local enterprises to explore cooperation opportunities.

Uzbekistan's industrial strengths and market demands align closely with Jiangyan's core industries and product supply capabilities. From January to August this year, trade between Jiangyan and Uzbekistan reached $378,000, accounting for 15 percent of Jiangyan's total trade with Central Asia — a year-on-year increase of 518.7 percent.

Both sides see broad prospects for cooperation in sectors such as photovoltaic new energy, automotive components, industrial equipment, and textile trade. The matchmaking event provided a direct and efficient dialogue platform, helping deepen mutual understanding and strengthen business ties.

During the meeting, leading Jiangyan enterprises showcased their most competitive products, advanced technologies, and high-quality services, tailored to Uzbekistan’s market needs. The Uzbek delegation, comprising representatives from business diplomacy, automotive trade, construction and hospitality, textiles and agriculture, and metal manufacturing, aimed to build bridges for long-term trade collaboration.

Participants also watched a promotional video on Jiangyan, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the district's industrial strengths, business environment, and development potential. Local exporters introduced their technical capabilities and product advantages, engaging in detailed discussions on metal products, textile materials, agricultural irrigation systems, and optoelectronic equipment. Several companies reached preliminary cooperation agreements on-site, solidifying a major step toward expanding Jiangyan–Uzbekistan trade relations.
