The Jiangyan Economic Development Zone is home to a strong, full-chain ecosystem for vehicle, ship and rail transit components with one national manufacturing champion, five national "little giant" enterprises, and three national green factories.
The commitment and innovation demonstrated by local enterprises were instrumental in achieving this success.
Founded two decades ago in the Jiangyan EDZ, Jiangsu Xingyang Marine Equipment Manufacturing has grown into a provincial "little giant" with over 100 patents and a 10 percent national market share.
This year, this"little giant" company has secured orders for its marine mooring equipment through 2029. It is projected that the annual output will surpassa 200 million yuan ($29.50 million).
Another key player, Jiangsu Zhenhua Haike Equipment Technology, is now investing 500 million yuan in a marine fluid equipment testing centre equipped with 80 advanced international testing machines to drive smart upgrades in shipbuilding.
In 2026, the zone will continue strengthening its supply chain and supporting leading companies, aiming to grow the automotive, marine, and rail transit component sector to over 8 billion yuan.
