Jiangsu Yuantong Corrugated Pipe, a leading bellows manufacturer in Jiangyan district, shipped 29 titanium expansion joints worth 4.6 million yuan ($679,451.26) to a national-level key project in Indonesia, underscoring the growing international competitiveness of Jiangyan-made industrial components.
With orders booked through the end of the year, the company reported 60 million yuan in sales revenue for the first half of the year and is targeting 150 million yuan for the full year, a year-on-year growth of over 10 percent.
To support major national infrastructure projects, Yuantong has scaled up production and upgraded its facilities. At its intelligent fittings project site in Jiangyan EDZ, a 40,000-square-meter heavy-duty workshop has been completed, and China's largest 10-meter-class 30,000-metric-ton hydraulic press has been installed.
"The press enables one-piece forming of bellows with a 10-m diameter and 200-millimeter wall thickness," said project manager Pang Yiting. The intelligent facility is expected to generate an additional 1.6 billion yuan in annual sales.
