The inauguration ceremony for Phase I of Apical Oleochemical (Taixing) Co Ltd's new oil chemicals plant took place in Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province on June 27.
It's China's biggest such high-specification integrated foreign-invested facility in the sector.

By adopting international advanced technology and processes, the plant will focus on producing fatty acids, hydrogenated oil, oleic acid, glycerol and other products, with a designed annual production capacity of 600,000 metric tons.
When ramped up to full capacity, it will be the biggest oil chemicals manufacturing base in China and boost Taixing city's development as a world-class green oil chemicals industry cluster.
After commencing construction in July 2021, Phase I was completed in just 20 months – a record in the area for a new industrial build.
