More projects are advancing construction this year in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – to further shore up the local economy.

At Taixing High-tech Zone, employees from Jiangsu TaiLong Decelerator Machinery Co Ltd have been busy producing steel cord equipment ordered by French tire manufacturer Michelin.

"The water tank wire-drawing machine co-developed by our company and Michelin has obtained CE certification, and over 1,000 units have already been exported," said Xu Jing, deputy general manager of the company.

Elsewhere in Taixing Economic Development Zone, a surface treatment circular economy industrial park project invested in by Jiangsu Jinmao Chengxing Environmental Protection Technology Co Ltd is projected to commence operations soon.

With a total investment of 3 billion yuan ($410.41 million), it will be equipped with high-standard factories, electroplating wastewater treatment plants, risk control emergency command centers, and underground pipeline corridors.

To become a hub for the green electroplating industry, it will also provide sewage treatment, electroplating waste liquid disposal, and other functions and services for local electroplating enterprises.

From January to August, 62 new projects in Taixing with a combined investment of 17.66 billion yuan broke ground, including five worth over 1 billion yuan each.

Moreover, 54 projects boast a combined actual completed investment of 17.87 billion yuan, including six worth over 1 billion yuan each.
