Relying on its 15,000-square-meter chemical safety skill training base, the Taixing Economic Development Zone, located in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province has embarked on an intensified path to teaching safe production.
Costing about 100 million yuan ($13.78 million), the training base comes equipped with 18 functional modules for such topics as safety experience and public science popularization, intelligent factories, chemicals units and emergency responses and rescues.
Aiming to enhance the safety production skills of business employees, the facility focuses on a curriculum system involving theory, case, interaction and practical operation.
Over 210 sessions for various skills training, including special assignments, emergency drills, skills competitions and safety training, are provided to allow employees to achieve a leap in safety skills with no need to leave the zone.
The zone is also inviting college students to visit the training base. There, they will learn theoretical knowledge about chemicals safety and experience hands-on operations and training, an initiative conducted by the zone to foster the integration and innovation of industry and education.
In 2024, the training base conducted nearly 210 training sessions and trained more than 11,000 people.
