To ensure a secure and joyous Chinese New Year for the community, Hang Huidong – deputy director of the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone Management Committee – conducted on-site safety inspections on Jan 23.
The Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone is located in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province.
Emphasizing the paramount importance of safety for local businesses, Hang highlighted the need for adopting a bottom-line approach.
Companies were urged to take primary responsibility, focusing on key safety areas, especially those involving gunpowder operations.
Hang underscored the implementation of crucial measures, such as electrostatic protection and strict dust cleaning systems, to eliminate potential risks at their source.
Additionally, Hang called on relevant local government departments to play a pivotal role in regulatory responsibilities. This involves organizing on-site expert guidance and conducting regular inspections to gather essential data on enterprises engaged in dust-related activities. The collaborative effort aims to identify and rectify safety shortcomings, ultimately enhancing overall safety levels in the community.
Furthermore, random inspections were also conducted at construction sites, fireworks and firecracker storage centers, among other areas.
What's more, Hang reminded responsible persons in the businesses to prioritize safety production, implement safety measures in construction projects and effectively manage fire prevention in fireworks and firecracker storage areas.
This approach is said to ensure that fundamental safety requirements are met across various operations.
