Two major projects that will cost a combined 1.56 billion yuan ($230 million) broke ground on Feb 6 in the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone – located in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – and are now in full swing.

With a total investment of 1 billion yuan, Susa Food Co Ltd is building a coconut juice beverage plant that will have four production workshops covering 70,000 square meters.
Plans are for five high-speed modern aseptic cold-filled beverage production lines, with the annual production capacity of 30 million cases.

Elsewhere, covering an area of 24,500 square meters, a new plant for Taizhou Hongyun Sports Appliances Co Ltd will have a total of 219 sets of main production equipment.
It will be engaged in the production of sports equipment, toys and rehabilitation equipment.
When complete, the annual production capacity is expected to be 50,000 sets of sports equipment, generating annual sales of 300 million yuan.
