The Colorful He'an Scenic Area in Hailing district, Taizhou, Jiangsu province, has recently been adorned with over a dozen shades of rapeseed flowers.
While you've likely seen golden rapeseed blooms before, this spectacle is anything but ordinary — think swathes of orange, creamy white, soft lavender, and more, creating a kaleidoscope of colors that defies expectations.
He'an is a unique piece of natural terrain that defines Huagang town in Hailing district. It is characterized by independently distributed, irregularly shaped small plots of land scattered among waterways.
Now is the golden window to visit. The fields are at their peak of beauty until late April. Miss this opportunity, and you'll have to wait a full year for another chance.
For photography enthusiasts, timing is everything. In the morning, around 8–9 am, the delicate sunlight bathes the petals in a golden glow, as if the entire field is dipped in honey. Later in the day, after 4:30 pm, the warm hues of sunset cast a magical filter over the landscape, turning every snapshot into a postcard-worthy masterpiece.
