In a remarkable feat, Chinese motorcycle manufacturer ZXMOTO clinched victory at the WSBK (World Superbike Championship) Portugal round on March 28, marking China's first-ever triumph in an international mid-to-large displacement motorcycle race.

The winning bike was powered by engine components — including crankshafts, connecting rods, and engine blocks — crafted by Jiangsu Gangyang Stock, based in Hailing district, Taizhou.

Despite being a newcomer, ZXMOTO's ambition to build high-performance motorcycles resonated with Gangyang, which saw potential and partnered early on. Their collaboration yielded six large-displacement crankshaft models, with the first four-cylinder 500CC version selling over 20,000 units.

Facing the ultimate test at WSBK, Gangyang's engineers tackled challenges like high-speed stability and lightweight design, employing special alloys and heat treatments. The resulting 820CC components propelled ZXMOTO's 820RR-RS motorcycle to two victories, proving China's capability in top-tier engine manufacturing.

Gangyang is now expanding its smart production lines to meet growing demand, aiming to produce 3 million high-performance crankshafts annually. This milestone underscores China's rising prowess in motorcycle engineering and domestic component manufacturing.
