Taixing, a county-level city in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, has unveiled an ambitious plan to establish three industrial clusters worth 100 billion yuan ($14.48 billion) each by the end of the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30).

The city released an implementation plan to accelerate the construction of a "333" modern industrial system on Feb 25, outlining six goals, including expanding industrial scale, strengthening innovation capacity, and integrating AI.

The plan focuses on three core sectors: chemical new materials, modern equipment, and health and related manufacturing. By leveraging these sectors, Taixing aims to attract over 300 industrial projects worth at least 100 million yuan each, fostering high-quality development along key industrial chains.

Innovation is a cornerstone of the strategy, with plans to enhance R&D investment and cultivate more high-tech and specialized enterprises. The city also prioritizes green development, striving to create a low-carbon industrial ecosystem through the establishment of near-zero and zero-carbon parks and green factories.

Furthermore, Taixing is embracing the trend of integrating AI with manufacturing, promoting intelligent perception and data-driven decision-making. The plan also emphasizes regional collaboration and integrated development among large and small enterprises to foster a competitive industrial landscape.
