Taixing, a county-level city in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, has achieved recognition as two of its key industries — fine chemicals and marine energy-saving and environmental protection equipment — have been included in the catalog of characteristic and advantageous industries in Jiangsu among county-level regions, released by CCID Consulting, a think tank under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China.
The fine chemicals industry, anchored by the Taixing Economic Development Zone established in 1991, has evolved into a leading cluster specializing in functional materials derived from low-carbon olefins. It has consistently ranked among the top 10 chemical parks nationwide for 13 consecutive years and secured the second position in competitiveness by 2025.

Meanwhile, the marine energy-saving and environmental protection equipment sector leverages the advantages of the offshore engineering equipment and high-tech ship cluster co-developed by Nantong, Taizhou, and Yangzhou. Taixing has formulated a three-year action plan to foster high-quality development in this field, aiming to establish a comprehensive industrial ecosystem encompassing R&D, production, supporting facilities, and services.

These selections highlight Taixing's strides in fostering specialized industrial clusters and provide a solid foundation for its pursuit of a "333" modern industrial system — enhancing three clusters of distinctive, advantageous industries, tackling three strategic emerging sub-sectors, and positioning for three future industries — as well as high-quality manufacturing development.
