The 11th list of Jiangsu province special idyllic countryside spots was recently released, with one place secured by the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone in Taizhou city – located in East China's Jiangsu province.
The recognized place is Qiaoyang community in Xuzhuang sub-district, created by the merger of the former Qiaoyang, Lianhe and Luanwang villages.
Qiaoyang community has an area of 3.78 square kilometers and a cultivated land area of 242.07 hectares. It is home to 877 households with 2,914 registered residents.
Last year, the community's collective income hit 1.05 million yuan ($146,266) and the per capita disposable income of residents reached 40,000 yuan. It also ranked as a Jiangsu Civilized Community.
To date, a total of five villages or communities in the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone have been recognized as special idyllic countryside spots in Jiangsu province.
The other four are Huobao village in Dasi town, Caizhuang village in Xuzhuang sub-district, Chenjia village in Baima town and Yinjiang community in Kouan sub-district.
