The Hailing district of Taizhou city, located in East China's Jiangsu province, has integrated its five government affairs centers to streamline and improve its overall social governance.

The resources of the five centers – the social governance center, the comprehensive command center, the grid task management center, the conflict mediation center and the law service center – have been integrated, enabling residents to handle their business at one site.

Administrative mechanisms are also being improved in Hailing, for things such as inspections and supervisions.

Deployment of new technologies in response to various risks and dangers is also being controlled by Hailing in a smart way and on-the-ground data from 13 departments is being shared.

Through artificial intelligence and high-altitude monitoring equipment, grassroots governance and emergencies are being handled remotely via visual management.

In addition, taking the five centers as the lead, each official department will interact with each other and respond promptly, in a bid to discover and resolve problems earlier on.

Moreover, Hailing will recruit 555 full-time staff to assist with individual resident matters.
