The Jiangyan district of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province is currently moving to improve its "happiness index" by implementing various initiatives that focus on promoting education, child-care and the overall well-being of its residents.

Through government-led schemes, a collaborative effort between municipal departments, innovative home construction, social enterprise, inclusive leadership and diverse development models, the district has established 39 child-care facilities.

These include nine integrated child-care centers that cater to a total of 1,530 individuals.

One prime example of the initiatives is the Family Child Care Park, which has been in existence since 2015 and which enrolls children from the ages of 18 to 36 months. The park's philosophy centers on providing a gentle educational journey for every child, with five classes utilizing a mixed-age class model to foster a sense of inclusivity.

Another innovative venture that blends agribusiness and tourism, called the Mushroom Tribe, is located on Sanshui Street in Jiangyan district. It boasts integrated cloud planting and digital intelligence mushroom cabins that provide visitors with a one-stop experience in watching, listening, playing, eating and buying mushrooms.

To date, the farm has hosted more than 5,000 elementary and middle school students in its study tours.

Taizhou city, as a whole, is understood to be committed to fostering the access of its people to high-quality public services, happiness and security by addressing their urgent concerns and worries through innovative initiatives.
