The Jiangsu Zhonggong Research Institute of Advanced Equipment Co Ltd – located in the Taixing High-tech Zone in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – recently received a prestigious first-class innovation award.
The award was conferred by the Taizhou municipal government, which evaluates and gives them every two years.
Taizhou hands out 10 places awards on each occasion, including two first-class awards, three second-class awards and five third-class ones.
The company was co-built by the Taixing High-tech Zone, the Zhengzhou Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Beihang University.
The Zhonggong research institute of advanced equipment focuses on sci-tech innovation, technology services and industrialization production in high efficiency and high torque permanent magnet motors, precision transmission devices, intelligent manufacturing equipment and other related fields.
The institute also undertakes tests and inspections of electromechanical transmission products, standard formulations and revision services.
It currently has more than 20 experts at the national level or at provincial and ministerial levels, or with a senior title. Also, more than 90 percent of the engineers and tech people there have a master's degree or above.
It has a test office space of 19,000 square meters and industrial workshop of 11,000 sq m, with more than 100 sets of major equipment and instruments.
