This year, the Taixing High-tech Zone in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – has been dedicated to promoting project development, which has reaped good results.
From January to July, the zone signed 21 project contracts worth over 100 million yuan ($13.86 million) each, with a combined investment of 8.41 billion yuan.
During this period, the zone broke ground on nine projects worth over 100 million yuan each, with a combined investment of 2.88 billion yuan. The zone also completed seven projects worth over 100 million yuan each.
Focusing on industrial cluster development, the zone put emphasis on several industries, including energy conservation, environmental protection, electronic information, new energy, and new materials.
In the first seven months this year, the zone's investment promotion group visited over 200 enterprises at home and abroad, which proved to be vital towards the zone's business development.
