Plans were recently unveiled for a provincial-level engineering center to be built in the Taixing High-tech Zone in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province.
Approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the center will specialize in key components for aircraft auxiliary power systems.
It will be built and operated by Jiangsu Shengnan Electronic Technology Co Ltd, which is based in the zone.

Listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange in May, the company mainly produces aviation machinery products – such as aviation deceleration controllers and aviation dampers, as well as power supply products including transformer rectifiers and relay boxes.
Currently, the company has 38 national patents, including six invention patents.
The provincial-level engineering research center is an important part of Taixing's scientific and technological innovation systems and platforms. As of now, there are 38 provincial-level engineering research centers in the city.
