Officials of Taixing city – administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – visited the Taixing High-tech Zone on Oct 27 to inspect the progress of major projects in the zone.
One of the zone's major projects is the PECVD high-end equipment project, operated by Ideal Energy Sunflower, a manufacturer of high-end key equipment for solar cells.
The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ideal Energy (Shanghai) Sunflower Thin Film Equipment Ltd.
With a total investment of 1.01 billion yuan ($138.69 million), the project will have two phases. The first phase has been completed and put into operation, achieving invoiced sales of 228 million yuan last year.
The second phase will have a floor area of 42,000 square meters and will feature 128 sets of equipment, such as pressure control systems and sedimentation systems.
At present, two factories related to Phase II have been completed, and some equipment is going through debugging.
When at full capacity, the PECVD high-end equipment project is estimated to generate 1.5 billion yuan in annual invoiced sales and 90 million yuan in tax revenue.
