Manufacturer TaiLong Decelerator Machinery Co Ltd – based in the Taixing High-tech Zone in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province –won the first award in the 4th Jiangsu Enterprise (Research and Development Institution) Innovation Competition.
The final of the competition was held in Suzhou city in Jiangsu on Nov 23, attracting 25 teams from the province.
"The project we are participating in this time is to lead by innovative models, promote intelligent manufacturing and develop precision reducers for industrial robots," said Yang Liu, director of product R&D in the company.
Yang added that the precision reducer developed by the TaiLong team had overcome the limitations of materials, equipment and technology in the production process – greatly expanding the domestic reducer market.
To top it off, the Taixing High-tech Zone also won the excellent organization award in the competition.
