Top officials from Taizhou city – in East China's Jiangsu province – recently inspected the lightweight automotive battery plant located in the Taixing High-tech Zone in Taixing, a county-level city administered by Taizhou.
With a total investment of 500 million yuan ($69.90 million), the project is operated by Jiangsu Youzhi New Energy Technology Co Ltd – an innovative manufacturer specializing in the research and development, manufacturing and sales of new energy battery trays.
Since breaking ground in June 2022, the project purchased 106 sets of main equipment such as CNC machine tools, friction stir welders and fully automated cleaning lines.
At full capacity, the plant is projected to produce up to 100,000 sets of dedicated trays for new energy auto batteries every year.
In 2024, the zone plans to push forward with its industrial, business platforms and mechanism innovation – as well as to incentivize its industries towards high-end, intelligent and green development.
