The Taixing High-tech Zone, located in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province, held an investment promotion meeting on Feb 7, urging all the participants to focus on attracting more funds in the current year.
The zone has continued to optimize its investment attraction mode by establishing industrial business units, introducing professional talent and rolling out assessment incentives.
Statistics showed that in 2024, the zone signed up 35 projects worth over 100 million yuan ($13.69 million) each, broke ground on 18 projects worth over 100 million yuan each and completed the construction of 14 projects worth over 100 million yuan each.
In the current year, plans are for the zone to expand the layout of new industries and focus on the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and the nurturing of emerging industries.
For 2025, the zone will accelerate the integration of the energy-saving and environmental protection sectors and advance the high-end transformation of the intelligent manufacturing industry.
It also plans to build a semiconductor equipment industrial park to attract both partners and promising projects.
Jiang Jie, secretary of the zone's Party working committee, said the zone would continue with the construction of an innovation special zone and a model area for industry-city integration.
Moreover, it would build platforms for innovation and attract and nurture new projects, establishing the "smart innovation new area" as its business card.
