The Taixing High-tech Zone in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province, is picking up the pace in attracting and constructing new projects, making a strong start to year in the first quarter.
One of them is a new photoelectric glass and functional special glass manufacturing plant, to be operated by zone resident company Jiangsu Gangcheng New Material Technology, which is currently being erected.
Costing 500 million yuan ($69.07 million), it will make and develop functional glass and refrigerator accessory glass.
With the goal of completing construction in June, the investors and contractors are working together to push things forwards.
Elsewhere, at the construction site of a high-performance reinforced fiber products and aviation structural components plant, to be operated by Jiangsu Huanqiu Enterprise Management, the foundation work has been completed.
With an investment of 1 billion yuan, the project will mainly produce drone structural components and display consoles.
Having started construction on Dec 25 last year, the plant is scheduled to start operating in June.
Plans are for the zone to offer special services for projects centering on key areas including project signings, approvals, commencements and completions.
During the first quarter, it is aiming to break ground on five new projects worth over 100 million yuan each and complete the construction of four projects worth over 100 million yuan each.
