A new energy vehicle or NEV components and automation equipment manufacturing plant, to be run by Jiangsu Dexintai Automobile Technology in the Taixing High-tech Zone, Taixing city, Jiangsu province, was signed on March 18.
Costing 1 billion yuan ($138.30 million), the plant will mainly produce key parts for high-end automobiles and new energy vehicles and it will be erected into two phases.
As a key special innovation zone in the city, the Taixing High-tech Zone has been focusing on the layout and development of the automotive part industry in recent years.

It is now home to a group of major enterprises, covering core products of the automotive industry supply chain. These include intelligent sunroofs, eco-friendly fuel tanks, new energy vehicle battery support equipment and in-car sensors.
The signing of the project is seen as being an important part of improving the automotive part industry cluster in the zone.
Moving ahead, plans are for the zone to continue to create a collaborative investment promotions pattern, especially involving the endeavors of outstanding local entrepreneurs, to inject strong momentum for regional development.
