A conference promoting the environmental protection industry of Taizhou city in Jiangsu province and the investment environment of the Taixing High-tech Zone in Taixing city, administered by Taizhou, took place on April 11 in Beijing.
The event attracted top experts and scholars from industry associations and research institutes, leaders of central and State-owned enterprises in the energy conservation and environmental protection sector and the chiefs of industry-related businesses in Taizhou.
Guo Chengzhan, president of the China Association of Environmental Protection Industry, said his association would continue to deepen its cooperation with Taizhou.
It would jointly build innovation clusters and strengthen industry-university-research collaboration, helping Taizhou's environmental protection industry to go both national and global.

Niu Shijie, deputy secretary general of Taizhou's municipal government, gave a briefing on the city's energy saving and environmental protection industry.
He said the city is now home to over 500 businesses engaged in the sector, with annual revenue topping 50 billion yuan ($6.84 billion).
Xu Hui, director of the management committee of the Taixing High-tech Zone, said that by adhering to the concepts of going green, chasing innovation and development, the zone is committed to building a distinctive energy-saving and environmental protection industrial base.
Moreover, Taizhou's local government, the Taixing High-tech Zone and Taixing Green Environmental Protection Industry Alliance signed cooperation agreements with seven leading companies and universities from Beijing, Zhejiang and other places on site.
