The planned Taizhou-Changzhou Expressway, which will pass through Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province, is projected to begin construction in December.
With a total length of about 24 kilometers, the expressway will shorten the travel time between Taizhou and Changzhou cities in Jiangsu province after completion.
The expressway will have the standard of six lanes in both directions, with a designed speed of 120 km per hour.
The project will connect Taixing and the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone, both located in Taizhou, helping them build advanced manufacturing bases in the Yangtze River Delta region.
It will also reduce travel time of residents, fostering the development of tourism resources and advancing the process of urban-rural integration.
With a construction period of three years, the expressway is planned to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2028.
