Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province has been pushing local businesses in the current year to adopt new technologies, processes and equipment, as well as to transform and improve their production.
In the first quarter, the city broke ground on 14 technological transformation projects. Of those, 11 of them are in industrial parks, with a combined planned investment of 1.37 billion yuan ($190.09 million).

Over the last few years, China has introduced a raft of policies to promote swapping out old appliances for new ones and the demand for integrated circuits in household appliances has continued to grow.
The company has seized the opportunity and it has invested 56.8 million yuan to launch a new integrated circuits packaging and testing technology transformation plant.
To ensure the smooth progress of technological transformation projects, Taixing city's municipal departments and industrial parks are providing service agents for local businesses and they offer tailored policies for them.
In fact, plans are for the city to implement 40 major technological transformation projects worth over 50 million yuan each throughout the year, helping to generate an industrial investment growth rate of over 10 percent.
