In the first half of the year, Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province broke ground on 47 new technological transformation projects designed to upgrade traditional industries, with a planned investment of 5.8 billion yuan ($809.9 million), greatly driving the growth of its industrial economy.
In H1, the city's total output value of enterprises above a designated size, those with annual revenue above 20 million yuan, hit 94.8 billion yuan, up 8.7 percent year-on-year.
During the period, Taixing Meilan New Materials, settled in the Taixing Economic Development Zone, realized unmanned operations. The company did so throughout the entire process for its chemical equipment, due to the implementation of a technological transformation project.
This has further improved the company's production efficiency and reduced its energy consumption.
This year, Taixing has issued an implementation plan for promoting the technological transformation of its resident enterprises. It is providing support in various areas including land factors, funds and services, further stimulating the enthusiasm of businesses for technological transformation.
In the Taixing High-tech Zone, manufacturer Jiangsu Dwfulai Auto Parts, which produces automotive sunroof components, invested 100 million yuan in March to introduce advanced manufacturing equipment such as fully automated robotic arm production lines, which can achieve fully automated and intelligent production of automotive sunroof assemblies.
