The Xihua Gearbox Project, settled in the Taixing High-tech Zone, Taixing, Jiangsu province, has become an important benchmark in the global wind power equipment manufacturing field with cutting-edge technology.
The project, costing 1 billion yuan ($145.12 million), broke ground in 2023. Its first phase has since been put into operation. The second phase is set to follow suit this October.

With gradual advancements taking effect, a modern and intelligent manufacturing base for wind power gearbox components is accelerating its formation in Taixing. This will provide core support for the global wind power industry.
The project focuses on the components of wind turbine gearboxes with a capacity of 5MW and above, using globally advanced production equipment and world-leading production processes.
After the project is fully operational, Jiangsu Xihua Intelligent Equipment, the operator, is expected to become the world's biggest manufacturer of large megawatt wind power main gearbox components.
