A delegation from the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone has visited Hebei University of Technology, Tianjin University, and other institutions to explore scientific achievements in fields such as automotive components, marine engineering equipment, medical devices, and materials science.
At the Advanced Equipment Research Institute of HEBUT, the two sides exchanged views on potential collaboration in science and innovation projects before giving on-site presentations of research outcomes.
The delegation then toured the university's science park, the institute's achievement exhibition hall, the Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Rehabilitation Devices and Testing Technology, and the provincial key laboratory for micro-nano boron nitride materials.
At Tianjin University, discussions focused on institutional development and research, as well as the industrial layout, development progress, and policy measures of the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone.
The two sides agreed to cooperate in several areas, including new coatings for marine engineering equipment, new environmental protection materials for water ecosystems, intelligent rehabilitation robots, and applications of synthetic biology in metal materials.
In recent years, the zone has been exploring institutional mechanisms to facilitate the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. It has established a results-transfer system involving government, universities and research institutes, investment institutions, and technology brokers.
