A meeting about quality improvements in the automotive parts industry took place in the Taizhou unit of the Great Wall Automobile Co Ltd – located in the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – on July 12.
Representatives from over 50 Taizhou key automotive and component enterprises attended the gathering.

In June, the zone established the first automotive parts testing and development platform in Jiangsu province, in a bid to promote the overall quality of Taizhou's automotive parts industry, said Wang Yingjun, a local official.
Ding Yi, a professor from the College of Materials Science and Engineering in Nanjing Tech University, gave a presentation to the meeting.
In addition, Taizhou Institute of Product Quality Supervision and Inspection President Qian Hui gave a briefing on the planned Jiangsu Province Automotive Mechanical and Electrical Parts Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center. It's approved for construction in the current year.
What's more, representatives made a visit to the production base of Taizhou Branch of Great Wall Automobile Co Ltd, to get information on the company's quality management system.
