Power technology group HYCET – located in the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province – has leaped to the forefront of producing automotive turbine machinery products under the leadership of its senior technical expert.
HYCET focuses on the research, development, manufacturing and technical services of turbine machinery products such as hydrogen fuel cell air compressors and hydrogen circulation pumps.
To further improve the competitiveness of its products, the company hired a top expert in the field Kostandin Gjika as the company's senior technical expert.
Gjika, a former university professor, is a leading specialist in rotor dynamics performances, bearing designs, balancing technology and vibration controls of high-speed turbomachinery and mechanical systems. Over the last five years, he has focused on working on gas-bearing technology applications.
For many years, ultra high-speed air bearings have been an emerging bearing technology, whose core technology was controlled by large foreign high-tech companies. Through their persistent efforts, Gjilka and his group overcame various technical difficulties and succeeded in developing an air-bearing structure with three layers of foil.
Utilizing the application of air bearings in all scenarios of rotating machinery, they developed air-bearing products for air compressors covering 5-300 kilowatt fuel cell systems, achieving full scene applications coverage.
At present, Gjika is leading his team to overcome industry challenges in succession such as ultra-high speed air bearings, ultra-high temperature resistant air bearings, and composite air bearings with high load-bearing capacity for large and medium-sized equipment.
