Jiangsu Simba Biological Medicine Co Ltd – located in the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone in Taizhou, in East China's Jiangsu province – has developed many original biological new drugs in recent years.
That's been under the leadership of Gao Xiaoyong, general manager of the company.
Compared with other industries, the research and development of new products in the biopharma sector has the characteristics of a long span of time, high investment and high risk.
In 2017, Gao founded the company in the zone with two new technologies for Class I drugs.
For over a decade, he has focused on the field of drug development, leading his team to a run of breakthroughs.
Some new drugs have already applied for PCT patents, some have entered the process of raw materials drug DMF certification and some have already completed GMP production.
The dedicated efforts clearly paid off when the R&D process that the company developed for the treatment of breast cancer and ovarian cancer reached the standard for mass production.
This led the group to establish a cooperation relationship with the healthcare giant GSK.
Moreover, the company has adhered to the deep integration of industry, university, research, and applications.
It has expanded cooperation with the University of Bath, Shaanxi University of Science & Technology, as well as large medicine manufacturers in Shandong and Anhui provinces.
