These days the city of Taizhou – located in East China's Jiangsu province – is quite literally shining as an intelligent manufacturing hub.
An announcement on the matter was recently made by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu, in collaboration with the Department of Finance of Jiangsu province.
Four intelligent workshops – including two from the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone – made it onto the prestigious 2023 Jiangsu Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Workshop list.
Among the achievers were Honeycomb Transmission System (Jiangsu) Co Ltd, whose HCM hydraulic module intelligent assembly workshop stood out for introducing cutting-edge European and American process equipment.

The plant boasts a fully digitalized information system, enabling precise traceability from raw materials entering the factory to the delivery of assemblies. This is said to mark a significant leap in automation, data integration and customer-centric production planning.
Similarly, Taizhou Nature Home Co Ltd is taking a leap forwards with its intelligent production plant for wooden home furnishings.

Leveraging systems like the KA, WCC, MES, SRM and ERP formats, the plant can achieve comprehensive informatization across various business processes, leading to improved productivity and lower costs.
The recognition of the plants is said to position Taizhou as a hub of innovation and technological advancement, contributing significantly to the overall landscape of intelligent manufacturing in Jiangsu province.
