A delegation from the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone Management Committee recently travelled to Southwest China's Chongqing municipality and Chengdu – capital of Sichuan province in Southwest China – for a series of visits and talks to drum up business and investment.
The mission of the delegation – led by Hang Huidong, deputy director of the committee – was to bring in more projects from those areas. That's in a bid to inject new momentum into the development of the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone – based in the Taizhou Medical High Tech Zone of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province.
During the trip, Hang Huidong and his team met with executives from a raft of companies, including a mechanical and electrical manufacturing group, a top agricultural machinery manufacturer and representatives from the Chengdu Food Industry Chamber of Commerce.
They also went to the China Food & Drink Fair, where they gained insights into the operational status, future plans and investment interests of companies participating in the event.

At the fair, Hang highlighted the investment promotions policies, strategic location advantages, industrial landscape and attractive investment environment of the Taizhou Port EDZ.
Through extensive discussions, preliminary expressions of interest were signed, setting the stage for future business and investment.
