Since its establishment and commencement of operations, the Great Wall Motors (GWM) vehicle base in Taizhou has become a powerful magnet for the automotive industry, attracting over 10 key component projects and more than 30 auto parts suppliers. This has created a robust supply chain ecosystem centered around the base.

Taizhou Great Wall Intelligent Technology Co has allocated an investment of 1.05 billion yuan ($143.9 million) for the development of an intelligent manufacturing park dedicated to automotive components, which addresses the rising demand from small and medium-sized parts suppliers. In promoting collaboration and integration among various companies, the project seeks to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire automotive supply chain.
Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone aligns its strategies with the latest automotive industry trends, focusing on policy support, industrial infrastructure, and project attraction. Guided by the blueprints of the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry and the GWM supply chain, the zone seeks to attract more upstream and downstream enterprises, expanding the industrial cluster and striving to join the leading ranks of the Yangtze River Delta region's NEV sector.
Moving forward, the Taizhou Port EDZ is set to intensify its efforts to attract investment, accelerate the high-end transformation of NEV components and intelligent connected vehicle parts, and strengthen Taizhou's modern industrial system.
