Three enterprises from Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone were recently included in the national list of "little giant" enterprises. This recognition not only affirms their innovation capabilities but also marks a major step forward for the zone in cultivating innovative players and enhancing industrial competitiveness.
To date, the zone has nurtured six national "little giant" enterprises and 38 provincial specialized and innovative firms.
Among the newly selected companies is Taizhou Wanno Textile Technology. The company's embroidery and sewing threads have reached international advanced standards, earning European Union textile certifications. With features such as a low breakage rate, high color fastness, vibrant luster, and strong environmental performance, its products are exported to markets in the Americas, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

The success of these enterprises is closely linked to the zone's role as a bridge between industry and academia, helping firms collaborate deeply with universities.
Hong Fei, office director of Wanno, said: "This achievement is largely due to our long-term industry-university cooperation base established with Nantong University. Over the years, experts from the university have frequently visited our company to exchange and explore advanced textile technologies."
Looking ahead, Taizhou Port EDZ will continue to deepen reform, striving to foster more high-quality enterprises with leading technologies and core competitiveness.
