Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone recently launched a series of initiatives designed to enrich the cultural life of residents and strengthen health support ahead of the winter cold.
Students received books ranging from vocational skills to literature and personal development. Volunteers shared reading experiences with students and encouraged them to build reading habits to broaden horizons and support personal growth.
Chen Yi, lecturer at the School of Healthcare at Taizhou Campus of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, held a speech explaining the importance of diet, daily routine, and illness prevention to local residents. Chen provided practical guidance tailored to autumn and winter needs. Residents also joined activities including herbal tea tasting and sachet making.

For elderly with limited mobility, volunteers from the Xuzhuang Community conducted home visits, offering blood pressure and blood sugar tests and guidance on medication for chronic diseases. The activity spread warmth through the community and strengthened connections.
Looking ahead, Taizhou Port EDZ will continue to expand services in culture, health, and community assistance to ensure support reaches those in need.
