With guidance from volunteers, locals expressed their creativity through lantern-making. By assembling frames, decorating them, and attaching tassels, their skillful hands gradually crafted elegant lanterns that sent auspicious messages.
A specially curated lantern riddles area was set up at the event venue. The riddles encompassed a wide range of topics, including traditional culture, festival customs, theoretical knowledge, and general life trivia, offering a blend of education, entertainment, and interactivity.
The event concluded with a heart-warming part as volunteers visited Caizhuang Nursing Home. Volunteers gathered around, kneading dough, wrapping fillings, and rolling tangyuan, then serving them to the elderly one by one, exemplifying the traditional virtue of respecting and caring for the elderly during the festive occasion.
