Xuzhuang sub-district in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, hosted a series of engaging activities on Sept 23 to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival, which fell on Sept 25 this year, fostering a harmonious, festive atmosphere centered around the idea of reunion.
A fun do-it-yourself mooncake-making activity brought warmth to the Cai Family Courtyard. The sub-district prepared a complete set of production materials such as fillings, molds, and gift boxes, in advance, and invited professional teachers to guide mooncake production on site.

Locals chatted while experiencing the charm of traditional folk customs in an immersive experience. The volunteers then gave their newly-made mooncakes to new business practitioners and workers in their jurisdiction, wishing them a happy festival.
Diverse cultural performances were also staged in various villages and communities, with songs, dances, instrumental music, skits, and other popular programs performed one after another.
