One of them is the Zhaoyang sub-district urban bookstore. With a floor space of 250 square meters and with nearly 7,000 books of various types, it opened its doors in January 2021. It has facilities for self-service book lending, online books reading, audio books and children's books, among others.

The Bi Feiyu Square bookstores were launched by Chinese author Bi Feiyu. Bi said he gave them the name 'square' because a square is broad and open and flat. The writer said he wants his bookstores to absorb and gather more and more readers, becoming a common and spiritual home for them.

The Dainan town Yibeizi picture library, founded in October 2019, is the only children's library in the town. It has more than 10,000 books and is constantly updating its collection every month. It aims to let every child love reading and to enable reading to become as natural as breathing.
