Xinghua, a county-level city in Taizhou, East China's Jiangsu province, announced the launch of a campaign to boost and upgrade consumption throughout the year on March 25.
Initiated by the local publicity department of the CPC Xinghua committee, the commerce bureau, and rural commercial banks, the campaign will further improve traditional consumption and spur its continuous growth by integrating online and offline modes.
It covers eight sectors, including lifestyle and entertainment, furniture and daily use goods, household appliances, beauty salons, alcohol and beverages, automobiles, oil products, as well as finance.

Many participating commercial entities, shopping malls, industry associations, and financial institutions introduced their plans for the shopping seasons.
Some major supermarkets have rolled out preferential measures, while the automotive industry will carry out group purchase activities for new energy vehicle buyers, giving out various types of subsidies. Key household appliance enterprises will focus on promoting the consumption of green and energy-saving products.
Financial enterprises, such as local rural commercial banks, will issue interest-free loans for housing and car purchases, as well as offer financial assistance to large supermarkets with large customer flows.
The city plans to hold more activities to boost consumption and expand domestic demand, according to Liu Guangyong, director of the commerce bureau of Xinghua.
