Xinghua Sanhe Agricultural Products Planting Co Ltd, located in Xinghua city in East China's Jiangsu province, was recently honored as a national standardization demonstration base for the whole industrial chain of modern agriculture.
Located in Xingdong town, the company focuses on the standardized cultivation, experimental demonstration, and brand building of the "Xinghua shallot".
At present, there are over 200,000 mu (13,333 hectares) of shallots grown in Xinghua city, which has provided employment for 12,000 farmers and increased farmers' income by 230 million yuan ($31.58 million) a year.
Xinghua city boasts superior climatic conditions for the growing of shallots, including abundant rainwater, adequate sunlight, and a warm climate.
