Jiangsu Xingda Steel Tyre Cord Co Ltd in Xinghua city – administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – ranked 184th in the 2023 Jiangsu Top 200 Private Enterprises List, with the list announced at a conference on Sept 26.
This year the threshold for companies to be on the list – which was released by the Jiangsu Federation of Industry and Commerce – increased to operating revenue of 7.57 billion yuan ($1.05 billion), up 830 million yuan on the previous year.
Manufacturers took 138 places on the list, with a total operating income of 5.81 trillion yuan.
There were eight enterprises in Taizhou city that made it onto the list.

Jiangsu Xingda Steel Tyre Cord Co was also included in the 2023 Jiangsu Private Enterprise Innovation Top 100 List, with the average proportion of internal research expenditure to revenue reaching 3.88 percent.
Among the 100 enterprises, the proportion of R&D personnel in the workforce reached 18.61 percent.
In addition, Xinghua city's Sunlour Pigment Co Ltd entered the list of leading green development enterprises in 2023, which was co-released by the Jiangsu Federation of Industry and Jiangsu province's commerce and ecology and environment departments.
