The National Aquaculture Mechanization, Intelligence and Digitalization Promotion Conference was held in Xinghua city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – and it looked at the future of the aquaculture sector.
The event, which took place on Oct 31, aimed to promote new equipment, technologies and ecological aquaculture models.
It was organized by the China Agricultural Mechanization Association and the China Fishing Vessel, Machinery and Gear Industry Association.
Over 60 mechanical manufacturing enterprises brought along a raft of products and equipment to the event – including rotary tillers, drones and automatic feeding machines.
The equipment on show involved all areas of aquaculture – providing such comprehensive solutions as information perception functionality, intelligent decision-making and accurate operations.
"Accelerating the application of equipment and technology for mechanization in aquaculture is vital for improving economic efficiency, fisheries efficiency and increasing the incomes of fishermen, said Shen Qiyang, senior engineer of the province's agricultural machinery development and applications center.
