A planned international stainless steel strips and steel bar warehousing and logistics center recently broke ground in Dainan town in Xinghua city – administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province.

Projected to cost 680 million yuan ($93.94 million), it's being funded by Jintu Development Group (Hong Kong) Limited. Plans are for the facility to establish an international stainless steel strip, wire and bar trading market that combines the functions of warehousing, sales and logistics services.

On completion, the warehousing and logistics center will fully leverage the competitive advantages of Dainan town's high-end stainless steel product base to attract more businesses to move there.

It's also expected to bolster the transformation and upgrading of the stainless-steel industry in Dainan towards high-end, green and international development.

In terms of increasing export speeds and efficiency, the center will aim to establish an efficient international logistics platform with standardized logistics operations, online monitoring, traceable processes and one-stop services.

It's anticipated that when the warehousing and logistics center starts operating, it will provide great employment opportunities for Dainan's people.

Moreover, it will also serve as a model for other such centers in terms of coordinated local enterprise imports and exports – placing an equal emphasis on goods and services, trade and industry links, as well as digital and eco-friendly trade.

All in all, the new warehousing and logistics center is regarded as being a major service industry project in Jiangsu province for the current year.
