Xinghua, a county-level city administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province, was recently ranked 61st on the List of the 24th National Top 100 Counties with Basic Competitiveness in County Economy.
The list was released by the Zhongjun Research Institute, a professional body that looks into the county economy.
The county economy is the material foundation for county development and this year's evaluation used basic indicators such as the total and average growth, quality, speed and vitality of each county economy that was assessed.
Xinghua's GDP growth rate in the first three quarters of this year hit 6 percent, ranking it second in Taizhou.
