The Xinghua High-tech Industrial Development Zone, located in Xinghua city, East China's Jiangsu province, recently secured the honor of being designated as a national-level green industrial park.
Situated in Dainan town, China's famous stainless steel town, the zone is now home to over 3,000 small and medium-sized manufacturers. These include 295 enterprises above a designated size, those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.75 million) or more.
The zone has developed specialized featured industries in fields of automobile tire radial steel cord, stainless steel and metal new material sector and pharmaceutical packaging.
It has become the world's biggest steel cord production base, the largest stainless steel raw material distribution center in China and the top stainless steel product trading center in East China.
Seizing the opportunities presented by intelligent and digital transformation, the zone has invited experts to customize the transformation designs of individual enterprises.
For example, local manufacturer Jiangsu Xingda Steel Tyre Cord obtained recognition for being a provincial-level intelligent factory and provincial-level intelligent manufacturing demonstration workshop.
Overall, in the process of advancing industrial transformation and upgrading, the zone is highlighting the orientation of energy conservation, consumption reduction and emissions reduction and enhancing the core competitiveness of green and low-carbon development.
